Okay, so to take our minds off of the depressing and serious vibes we got from the Remembrance Day video research today we watched this short clip about Marcel the Shell. what makes Marcel cute is how small his voice is, how small he is, how a small shell is glued to small doll shoes, and the way he talks to the audience. Since Marcel is small he talks about the disadvantages he has and makes them positive. Marcel talks and does things like a 1 or 2 year old. "I don't have a dog, so I'll just attach something to a string and drag it around everywhere I go." What also makes Marcel cute is when he talks there are little trembles in his voice making him sound small and a little scared of the world around him. I think what is funny, is how he just pops up anywhere and talks about somethings that happened in his life.In the background there are voices as if they are the people interviewing Marcel. The filmmakers Make Marcel a tiny bit cuter by zooming up on him making him look really small, almost thumbtack sized too. Marcel seems to walk in like a waddle-ish?
ReplyDeleteMarcel is a shell, like a shell that you would find at a beach or something. with an eyeball glued on and with shoes...From being small and with having to live his own life, he definetly grabs the attention of the audience.
ReplyDeleteMarcel is very cute because He's so small and he sees the world from him being so small. He wishes or has his own way of doing many things that an everyday person would have or do. Like having a dog, he uses a piece of lint attached to string. His own creative mind of improvising on things we humans would do. He explains very random of topic things about his life. He's like a small child.
This video definetly made me smile and laugh. I smile because this small shell has its own way of life and wants to show and share with us his expieriences and way of living. Also his form is cute and his voice is adorable, serious and funny at the same time! He sounded nervous about being interviewed because of his voice that sounded like he was sick or was scared to death. The character itself has so much to offer the audience. Marcel can relate to us in his life, even though he is a shell.
The filmakers are very creative. They explain the life of this character they invented and his expieriences. The video was filmed by stop motion. Bassically a bunch of pictures. This video must have been hard to film because you must have needed a lot of patience of putting the many pictures all together.This character that they invented had some things that someone could relate to. EX: He sounded a bit concerned when they were filming "his house" because he didnt clean up for the visit.
I thought it was adorable how he showed us how he lived, like he used hair to tie up his skies and his skies were nails.
I honeslty thought this video was amazing and i am watching it over and over again. My favorite part is that he is his creativity of living! Best part was probably the part where he improvised a dog (which he wanted desperatly) as a piece of lint that he found and a string attached to it. Or that he talks about random things that he just wanted to share with us :D

I'm a girl, so speaking from a girls point of view, everything small is considered cute, him being so tiny, and having a squeaky voice, makes him adorable. : )
ReplyDeleteWhat makes Marcel the shell so cute is I think the brilliant combination between his tiny size and sweet voice. Marcel is a very interesting tiny little creature with a very bright and incredibly humourous personality that can make anyone smile anytime. What makes the audience smile is his way of answering the questions,and the way he moves well (crawls) is so cute ,also the way he is made to look and sound so realistic. What the producers did to make this film so interesting and intriguing is how they made him look and sound so real (like a 2 or 3 year old little baby) is absolutely adorable. The clip is almost like an extremely small movie that's how interesting and catchy it is to watch . -Martina

ReplyDeleteMarcel the shell is adorabule. I love the part where marcel says "Once my brother got into a fight with this guy. Wan`t to know how he killed him? He impaled him on a hairbrush". Marcel`s voice makes everything he says so cute. One part I really loved was when Marcel sayed "One time I nibbled on a pice of chess and my cholesterol went up to 900". All of Marcel`s stories are really funny I couldn`t stop laughing.

I think Marcel the shell is so cute and adorable because of his voice. Marcel says really funny things that would make sense if you were that small and had one eye. The film makers and the script writers were very original and clever.

I find Marcel a funny figure not as a cute one. For 1 he made many jokes throughout the video. He not only is he cute and funny but kinda a creepy he has one eye and drags a lint around with a piece of string attached to it 0.0. But aside from that factor i find Marcel funny and cute in a creepy sort of way 0>0

Marcel the Shell is a delightful and entertaining comedy video because of its protagonist and its script. I think it is adorable how they presented the character, Marcel, with a small and tiny voice, sounding like a toddler, with one eyeball and a pair of shoes. The filmmakers make it seem like they are interviewing Marcel while she appears in different places in her home. They also created the script with random, amusing sayings. For example, Marcel stated, “I’m afraid to drink soda because I’m afraid the bubbles will make me float onto the ceiling.” Marcel the Shell is overall a short film that is meant to focus on the youth viewers and is something to laugh and smile about while watching. -Angela
ReplyDeleteMarcel the shell is a really cute Stop Motion animated short film. This film is about interviewing an adorable talking shell, about his everyday life. The film makers made Marcel talk about normal human activities from a shell’s point of a view, because he is so tiny. I like how the film makers made Marcel’s voice sound like a 2 or 3 years old. It is really cute that Marcel has only one eye and he is pink shoes. My favourite part of this film is when Marcel said “sometimes people say that my head is too big for my body, and then I say compare to what?” ^-^…

Marcel The shell is a very cute character and was created to be humorous and to bring us laughter. The filmmakers probably focusing on the younger viewers. The voice of Marcel was probably what caught the viewers attention it sounded child like and slightly trembling which perfectly suited his character as a tiny shell living in a large home. This film used a lot of imagination for example he wanted a dog but he used a lindt tied to string instead. His actions in the house was based on his size for example he used toe nails for skies which made the video even more funny. Overall Marcel The Shell is an enjoyable film for everyone to wath
