Progress Reports

Today the Progress Reports went home. Whew! That was a lot of work. Most of you did well, and I'm looking forward to meeting your parents at the interviews this week.

As I did not post on Friday night, I am happy to report that the film presentation went well at the Remembrance Day Assembly. I was really proud of our first film and I think all of the elements we included were a hit, with the students, staff and parents who attended.

I am still waiting on quite a few of the good copies of your "AWESOME" writing pieces and was hoping to post our work in the halls to show our school community how CREATIVE we are and how AWESOME our ideas were for this project. The final drafts are looking really great so get them in grade 8's, because it's some great writing.

Science: We have finished the ideas surrounding temperature and the relationship it has with viscosity and are moving towards...volume and mass of a fluid...I feel a lab coming on...and will be looking for some more "demonstration" scientists for our next experiment.

Tomorrow I hope to cover our "Student of the Month" nominations but I need everyone to get their work done (I am missing quite a few). We will also spend some time reflecting on the progress reports, and I look forward to hearing your goals for the rest of the term.

Today was challenging, lets have a better day tomorrow?!
