Science! Mass, Weight, Capacity and Volume!

Today was a pretty great day. We read the book "Speak" this morning and figured out that the main character Melinda is really depressed. She is so afraid to "speak" that she feels like she has selective laryngitis and then along comes David Petrakis. Attacking Mr. Neck their teacher of being xenophobic, which somehow inspires Melinda, just a little bit. We will jump into our soundtrack assignment, tomorrow and I am looking forward to presenting to you all.

For Science we unpacked the ideas surrounding:mass, weight, capacity and volume. We all made notes and then investigated the volumes of various regular and irregular objects. It was an investigation that we will revisit again tomorrow and I look forward to reviewing your observations.

I found a link on Khan Academy that investigates Mass and Weight in a more detailed way check it out: http://www.khanacademy.org/video/mass-and-weight-clarification?playlist=Physics

Tomorrow:

IT'S MOVEMBER DAY! So don't forget your stick-on mustaches! WE HAVE TO WIN!!!
