Last Day Ever

Well, it was hot & dusty in the classroom but I made it out okay. I just wanted to say thank-you to all of the students who gave me lovely gifts. I was really touched by your generosity and I truly appreciate it. I left Clairlea with a heavy heart and am now at a new school with a tiny classroom! On a positive note, I am working with a teacher who is as crazy as I am and that will make for a fun year next year! The SOTM celebration was fun last night, thanks to A.B., J.M.C. & G.Z. for being such great guests! What a great way to kick off the summer! Bye for now and have fun over the summer!

Winding Down

Hello Everyone!

It is SOOOOO HOT! Almost unbearable in the school and we are all melting, seriously melting!

Thanks to everyone for a nice community walk and treat this morning. It was fun and probably our last class outing of the year! :( See attached pictures.



So for tomorrow here`s the deal:

I need to see you in the morning if you haven`t:
1. Handed in all of your text books
2. Done your superhero shield for your silhouette
3. Handed in any missing assignments - essays, short stories, geography, or missed the math quiz!

Grad invite packages and tickets were handed out today and a bunch of students were missing!! You need this information and the tickets to get into the grad. Also dress rehearsal is happening tomorrow afternoon...you need to be here!!

Madame Demeter still needs painters in the AM for the full length superheroes! If I can request it...could we please do the final party on Monday instead of tomorrow...it`s too hot to process right now and there were too many people missing to plan an event with food.

Okay, good night...stay cool and dry. That`s an amazing thunder storm out there!!

Back to life, back to reality!

Well we were all back today, tired but refreshed from Quebec. We launched our valedictorian campaign, watched some YouTube speeches, critiqued them and then picked OUR success criteria. You will find the criteria attached as well as the expectations for the competition on Thursday morning. A vote will take place and we'll have our candidates by Thursday afternoon! We also picked our grad theme: Superheroes!

We were all packed and ready to go at 7:50 am! Some of our kids were ready at 7:15!!! Gooo Panthers! We ate a hearty breakfast and are on our way home! Au revoir Quebec! Bonjour Ontario!
