Happy Birthday to Me!

Yes, thank-you for asking. I had a great birthday, relaxed with my family and ate some really good food. I am now 35, and in the middle between 30 and 40 (yikes!). A special thanks goes to the girls who made me a card, baked me cupcakes & a cake, gave me presents and surprised me this morning! What a beautiful way to start the day. A million times thank-you!

Today we started with a double period of Math! We unpacked the ideas about corresponding and alternate angles. We watched the following video and then completed work in class. It was a fairly productive period and I am happy to say that the majority of the class was on task.

For Science we revisited the final ideas about diffusion and osmosis, and I asked that students finish their questions and hand them in as we are going to start a new unit...this week!

Finally, I did a lecture style lesson on documentaries. It was a generous discussion and many people offered up their opinions and points of view. I will attach a copy of the lecture point form notes, they will mean something to the class who were there and as a class we answered the question; "Why are Documentaries worth watching?". Below I have attached the stop motion documentary of a photographer's daughter. Take a moment to watch it all the way through, the father took a photo a month up until she turned 12. Really cool! Enjoy!

FOR TOMORROW:

1. Student of the Month
2. Math homework from today
3. Trip form if you haven't handed it in!

See you tomorrow!
Lucy the floating head!
